Rachelle's Wish List

I want the following things:

1. A new frying pan (or two);
2. an Ikea to open in Halifax;
3. a cat;
4. a new electric mixer (mine snapped);
5. an awesome keyboard that is also free;
6. a haircut;
7. The Monkees DVD boxsets;
8. more shelves in my apartment;
9. a new car stereo to replace the one that was stolen;
10. the guy who stole my stereo's ass on a stick.

And so forth.

The yard sale was a pretty slow yesterday. I blame the weather forcing us to postpone it so many times. I think it would have gone better if we were able to have it last weekend. I actually made more money selling my books at Back Pages that didn't sell at the sale than I did at the sale.

On Saturday I went to an estate auction with Steph and my mom. Mom and I try to go to all the auctions that come to town. I love them. I wish I had a big house that I could fill with auction items. It was crazy. Entire antique bedroom sets going for $100-$200. Nuts.

Most of Matt and my furniture was bought at auctions. I got my big tv for $80 at one. That was exciting. And our entire dining room set was $100. Auctions!

I wish I was at one right now, but alas I am at work. I am going to be trained to take over from someone who is leaving this week. I think that I will hate training, but I won't hate the job.

The Minks take the stage in just four days! Look out, Halifax!

We will also be playing with The Urban Surfkings at The Seahorse on the 18th of September. I am really excited about that. It's a real honour that they asked us to play with them.

Things are looking up!
